New 730 family member - 26/06/08

The Anggerek 730 family has a new member, born on the 25th of June, 2008. 4.15pm and weighs 3.56kg. A very healthy baby girl. Named Ariana Jamil.

Congrats Ponchoh and C Jee for the newborn. She's so cute. Now Aiman has a little sister. ;)

Laser 1 Championship - 08/06/08

Was invited to shoot the Laser 1 race at Brunei Yacth Club at Serasa last Sunday, had to get on a small boat and went out to sea to shoot the final leg. It was fun and all, but it was hot! Luckily I didn't forget my sunblock. ;)

I was told, he's one of the world's best sailor, having competed in international levels and ranked third in the World Laser Championships (if I heard it right) and he's here in Brunei.
He's from France and works for Total. This was his last race in Brunei, he's going back to France.

KUPU Sports Day - 20/04/08

I was really tired and it was a hot day after the BSB 50mm Challenge, was on my way home when I saw what looks like a sports event at Balapan Field. So I went down and took some shots. Found out it was the 1st KUPU (Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama) Sports Day. And there was no photographer around. So I offered myself to take photos of the event.

50mm Challenge - 20-04-08

Joined the other BFF members for the 50mm Challenge at BSB. Here are the photos that I wanted to submit but in the evening, my aunt got submitted to RIPAS and we had to spend the next 4 days at RIPAS ICU, so I didn't submit any. Here are the photos and more on my flickr.

I was still using my D40X at that time and had to do manual focusing using the 50mm.
